The Boys and Girls Club Youth Centre was opened on September 19, 2013. The building boasts two impressive murals.  One has a basketball theme, while the other covers the entire length of the building.  

The Centre is snugly nestled within Yorkwoods Village, which is great considering its purpose to help the community.  It’s not so great for a photographer trying to capture the entire mural - I couldn’t step back without hitting a wall.  If anyone has an image that clearly shows the entire mural, please let us know.   

This mural honours Andrew Bennett, who was the first Canadian to be chosen as the number one pick in the NBA draft.  Bennett lived in the Jane-Finch area until he was ten years old.
